Mount Perry State School has been a facility for education since 1871. A number of students attending the school come from families whose members have attended the school for several generations as well as families that are new to Mount Perry.
Mount Perry State School cares about each child’s learning and each child’s well-being. Our experienced staff provides quality learning opportunities for children to meet their educational needs.
We aim to provide a safe, supportive school environment for children, staff and parents. Through our Responsible Behaviour Plan, we value: Safety, Respect and Self -responsibility. Our "Positive Behaviour for Learning" (PBL) ensures that the whole school community is involved in the task of working together to make sure our students become responsible citizens of the future
I believe that it is important for parents and caregivers to play an active role in their child’s education. Mount Perry State School staff are always willing to meet with parents. We see working together with parents and caregivers as one of our most important roles. Should you have concerns, wish to discuss matters or want to share a great idea, please speak with your class teacher or make contact through the school office.
Our school is fortunate to have the support of the wider community. The Mount Perry Fine Arts Group works with students to produce quality artwork in readiness for the annual art exhibition. The Mt Rawdon Mining Group continue to support the school with donations to our reading program and literacy enhancement activities.
